Physical Description:
Tall, compacted Athletic, muscular build. Defrel's appearance is one of a
harden Veteran, professional and confident. He walks and talks with a
smooth, silent, and calming flow. His hands are hidden behind short black
gloves, his roguish red hair combed wildly. He has a large, black, Celtic
cross on his upper right arm, and he has a barbed wire tattoo going around
the upper part of his left arm. Defrel rose as a "Son of the
Empire" still dress like an Imperial. When "off" duty he
will most likely wear a formfitting black or dark gray "ship
suit". A pair of short black gloves normally accompanies this, and a
pair of black boots ether combat boots or soft soled "stealth"
boots. His VibroKnife is always by his side. He will never carry a weapon
besides the Knife when "off" duty unless training. When he is on
duty, he will have his old Scouttrooper belt around his waist, and his
E-11 in a back holster, located on his left hip. On a mission he will
dress in a formfitting Combat jumpsuit with that areas cammo pattern on
it. A pair of short black gloves normally accompanies this, and a pair of
black boots ether combat boots or soft soled "stealth" boots.
His weapons he takes will vary by mission but he prefers to take his belt,
E-11 in a left thigh holster, his VibroKnife, and any other needed gear.
If heavy fire support is needed he likes to take a BlasTech T-21 LRB.
Background:
Defrel was born on the Imperial mining station of Frilawn. The Imperial
stormtroopers were the only things Imperial about the station. The credit
bought everything, and the ore was a bargaining chip for life. At the age
of three a squad of stormtroopers for being "rebels" killed his
parents and he was sent to the Imperial "Childs" program.
An Imperial "Childs" program is an Academy that takes young
children and raises them as the Empire sees fit. As Defrel grew he soared
over the other children in academics as well as the physical fighting the
school taught. This impressed his teachers (more for the later fact), he
soon found himself quickly placed in an "advanced" program. In
this "advanced" program, Defrel and other "sons of the
Empire" were organized into what was closely described as
Scouttrooper lances. The "sons" were issued an E-11 blaster
rifle, and a suit of Scouttrooper armor, as well as a custom VibroKnife.
The Knife was designed for the "Childs" program alone; each
"son" was given one and was told to wear it with pride. Here the
"sons" were assigned to watch and do the "odds ends"
of stormtroopers, scouttroopers, and other Imperial units. This was all
part of the Empire's twisted plan to create the perfect solider of the
Empire. While many of the "sons" took great pride in the slow
killing, and mass killings of species that the Empire deemed
"rebels" or "lower life forms", Defrel felt something
was wrong. The killings made know since, there was no cause for killing
sundered solders, no trials for those whom were deemed "rebels".
As time went on, Defrel began not going through the killings, letting
other go ahead of him. It was on one of these "missions" that
Defrel saw the true twisted nature of the Empire, a group form his squad
went into to a house killing all inside then walking back out with a
bottle of wine. Defrel was shocked, four people dead for a bottle of wine?
It was at this time Defrel began to plan on siding with the New Republic.
Over the next few missions, he made sure he got the few credits and odd
gear left on the battlefield. During a night-raid at a local
"rebel" bar, Defrel turned on his fellow "sons"
opening fire on them from behind a BlasTech T-21. His "allies"
were stunned and too shocked to return fire, Defrel killed them all. The
local "rebel" leader came up to Defrel while the bodies were
being taken away. The two talked for hours, Defrel told the man of the
"program" and the man told him the truth-what the Empire had
done, the Battles the Alliance one. Defrel told the man he wished to join
the New Republic's armed forces. With a smile on his face, the man told
Defrel he could use a good fighter in the "cell". Defrel took up
the job with great effort; he followed all the orders, and saved
lives-something new to Defrel. As the years went by Defrel and others of
the planet freed it from Imperial rule, handed it over to the New
Republic. It was at this time that Defrel signed on as a
"formal" New Republic ground ponder. Shortly after signing on
Defrel was transferred to the planet of Chandrila. Chandrila was a New
Republic "Academy" planet-schools of all kind covered the world,
and was important to keep this knowledge in Republic's hands. While on the
shuttle to the planet, Defrel meet a man named Daes Sevgren. Daes Sevgren
was going to the planet to train at the School of Combat Medical
Care" also known as "SoCMC". On the flight over Defrel and
Daes traded stories of their childhood and past. Daes was impressed by
Defrel's story of night-raids. Defrel was to involved in Daes' stories of
his parents and the fun times they had, stories of Daes' friends, and
stories of a family-something Defrel knew nothing about. When the shuttle
landed, and the two had gathered their bags, they split off. Daes had to
report at the school, and Defrel had to report to the New Republic's main
base. When Defrel reported for duty, he was given his orders, a room
number and location of his new quarters. Upon arriving at his new
quarters, whom should be his roommate but Daes Sevgren! The to were both
shocked to see the other again in such a short time. They settled into
their room and prepared for a new life. As the days rolled into weeks, the
weeks into months, and months into years the two became like brothers.
They shared everything, they knew the other inside out, and could predict
what the other was about to do. During the week they would split, not
seeing each other due to class, guard duty, and dates, but by the time the
weekend came they hit the town. The two soon became top players in the
local "blaster tag" court and tourneys. But like all things, it
came to an end. It came time for Daes to go to the Special Forces ATC on
Corellia. The two said good-bye, but swore they would meet again. And so
they did when Defrel's transfer papers to Special Forces went through.
When Defrel heard the new he made a mental note, if he passed training
then he would try his best to enter Forn or Grek teams, the two teams that
bring tears to the Imperials eyes.
Personality:
Defrel tends to be cool and professional, with a hard shell on the
outside, and a heart of gold on the in. Always watching and listening. His
motto is simple and sweet; duty, loyalty, above all except honor. He will
never leave an allied or friend in battle dead or wounded, even if order
too. He tends to protect or take in the underdog in a situation. And will
always stands up to the larger person in a fight.... almost enjoying the
idea of downing the "big man." He is heroic, in a strange sort
of way; he just sees it as part of the job. A quick smile, and a shine in
his eye hint at when he's in the mood to get into trouble, and he has
spent more than one night in the brig because of it. Always has a cool,
professional, calming affect on people.
Objectives:
He has few objectives per say. His main objective is to see the Empire
destroyed for what they have done to people. Maybe to see himself settle
down sometime, maybe even have a family with a kid or two. But general to
serve the New Republic and what he feels is right and just.

"Retreat.... not the bloody hell likely sir!"
Connection With Other Characters:
He is the guy everyone likes, the guy whom is a friend to all. He is the
guy you see when you are pinned in a firefight, hopping the line to help
the wounded of both the Allies and Enemies. Few friends, but many people
like him just the same. He may be a friend, a long lost allied, or you
might be his best friend Trooper Daes Sevgren of Forn team.
